Trademark Classes
Before you apply for a trade mark, there are several issues you need to consider. Making the wrong choices with your application can be costly, as mistakes by applicants are usually not refundable.
Before you begin, think carefully about the goods or services you want protected by your trade mark. If you make a mistake you will not be able to expand your list of goods or services once you file your application.
Only the goods or services claimed in the application are covered . Once a Trade mark application is filed later it is not possible to add new goods or services. In such cases a fresh application needs to be filed
To help you decide what goods or services to list think about the exact nature of your business and ask yourself the following:
a). Where do you derive your business income?
b). What is the nature of your business?
c). What are you known for by your customers/clients?
d). What products or services does your business provide?
